I recognize him among crowds by the eloquence of his words, by his sincere verb, by the strength of his ideas, by his unmistakable voice.
He himself, simple, accurate, rebellious, visionary, not only conquered me but also the world. He mobilized us through intellectual property, his example and guide; he only managed to make us fall in love and be faithful followers of his life, work and revolutionary convictions. How he did it: I know, with intelligence loaded with humanity.
His speeches, dialogues, writings and reflections which portrayed as reality and most for our good and the world are ahead of his time, being able to show that, with truth, honesty, courage and love can overcome.
He, that giant that I fell in love with since I saw him, I knew that he was a great man of history, a Cuban of my times worthy to follow for his struggle, excessive love for this whole Island and his children, his achievements and victories.
I will never forget that time I saw the Commander-in-Chief in Santiago de Cuba, as well as the first cantata for his birthday of which I was a participant. His greeting, smile, olive green suit, his voice, his solidarity with all peoples, his friendship with Chavez are memories that accompany me forever because he captivated me. Fidel is unique: Fidel is Fidel.
