Claypot of the Museum, or from the Constituents of Guaimaro

Claypot located in the backyard of the local museum in Guaimaro. '10 April 1869 'the First Constitution of the Republic of Cuba in Arms was signed at the home of José María García, then located in Calle Las Damas, Constitution Street today.

 

A research conducted and the analysis to the article 'April 10' by José Martí confirm that this property was spacious and comfortable, built from masonry, wide porch and wooden bars.

In the courtyard Luciano Martinez; important ceramist Port au Prince modeled a calypot to collect water that would be used in domestic chores. This object withstood the ravages of time, burning the town and wars of the colonial era.
