Fidel, universal historical leader

The Cuban Revolution highlighted Fidel as a universal historical leader for his ethical, political and military qualities, for his strategic vision, his indisputable leadership and his capacity to lead the great popular masses, his sense of national independence and historical responsibility, his value of the ideas and principles defended, his anti-imperialist feelings and human solidarity and for his high sense of duty.

Fidel Castro Ruz always had the ability to fight with the humble and for the humble. Thanks to his incessant struggle, the country achieved full sovereignty and independence and became a utopia in hope for the Latin American and African peoples. Fidel taught the masses to confront the empire, to defend themselves and not to be afraid. He laid his example before the world and new hands wielded the redeeming rifle.

The victory reached on January 1^st, 1959, the transformations made in the different spheres and the creation of the new homeland multiplied value as hope and Cuba became the seed that germinated in the most distant latitudes of the planet.

Fidel Castro is recognized as an international symbol in the anti-imperialist struggle, world solidarity, patriotic dignity and an invariable conviction in the socialist future of humanity.
