Obtaining income through an increasingly large export of goods and services is imposed as a primary goal for the economy in Guaimaro, Camagüey, where import substitution is a priority.

From Guaimaro, exportable items are promoted in all sectors, as an essential condition to sustain the social work of the Revolution, lucidly and in an organized manner, to meet the needs of the municipality, the province and the country.

According to local authorities, despite the current difficulties, the vitality in the functioning of the economy is maintained, although more discipline and rigor is required to conclude this year’s last quarter with better results.

For the coming '2020' the strategy to follow must focus on the strengthening of values such as unity, industriousness, social commitment, collectivism, patriotism and tenacity, in order to boost the progress of the demarcation, said the local directors.

The improvement of state agencies, the cultivation of land, the progress in the policy approved for the housing program and the use of science in order to solve the problems of the economy are also priorities.
