Russia Denounces Use of Toxic Substances by Terrorists in Syria.Moscow, Nov 14.- Russia denounced today a new incident involving the use of toxic substances by terrorist groups in the eastern side of the Syrian city of Aleppo and urged once more the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) to send experts to Syria.

The terrorist groups yesterday attacked with toxic substances 30 members of the 415 Battalion of the 114 division of the Syrian Republican Guard. Most of them are in the hospital, the spokesman of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Igor Konashenkov, said.

The incident took place after the detonation of mortar shells launched in Karim-Jazmati neighborhood, Konashenkov said.

The chemical weapons defense specialists from the Ministry collected samples and confirmed the presence of chlorine, which has been banned since 1993 by the Chemical Weapons Convention.

According to Konashenkov, terrorists in Aleppo are increasingly using toxic substances in attacks against the military personnel and civilians and they hide the prohibited substances in tunnels.

On the other hand, neither the United States, UK nor other Western countries have mentioned or denounced the crimes committed by the terrorists in Aleppo. They rather have accused the Syrian army, Igor Konashenkov said.

Konashenkov once more requested to the OPCW to send as quickly as possible to that place an expert mission to work with Russian military experts.

Nearly 6,000 members of different armed groups have barricaded themselves in the eastern part of Aleppo. Almost all of these groups are followers of the Jabhat Fateh al-Sham, formerly known as the Al-Nusra Front.
