Havana, Nov 22.- The Ninth Cuban Congress on Mechanical Engineering and Metallurgy has begun its sessions today, within the framework of the 18th Scientific Convention on Engineering and Architecture (CCIA 18).
The parallel event will feature a keynote speech by Professor, Sebastian Verhelst, of Ghent University, in Belgium.
Among the papers being presented are the Feasibility Study of Biofuels Production, by Brazilian researcher, Walfrido Alonso; and the research on emulsified fuels, by Cuban engineer Eliezer Espinosa.
CCIA 18 has proposed maintaining a space where the scientific, academic and professional community exchanges experiences and ideas related to the sustainable development of society are presented.
