Beijing, May 21.- The Chinese technological giant Huawei said on Tuesday that the postponement of restrictions in the United States has a little meaning, because the company is at full capacity to deal with the exit from that market, where it is being pressured by the Government.
Huawei Chairman Ren Zhengfei told reporters that the firm is ready with alternatives that will allow it to minimize the damage caused by the blockade on US soil and to maintain the successful deployment of the 5G network, which is considered the true reason for the campaign against it.
Ren noted that no other company will compete with Huawei in that revolutionary technology in the next two or three years, and warned US politicians that they underestimate its potentialities.
In that regard, the Chinese executive pointed out that his corporation cannot be isolated from the world and has the means to make chips with the same quality as those acquired in the United States.
A few hours ago, the US Department of Commerce decided to postpone the enforcement of sanctions on the Chinese company until August 29 and will allow Huawei to make the necessary transactions to keep and support the networks and equipment at full capacity.
That will include software updates and patches subjected to binding contracts and agreements signed before May 16.
