Beijing, Jun 10.- Chinese police confiscated thousands of high-tech equipment and processed a hundred cases for attempted fraud during the gaokao, university entrance tests that finished This Sunday.
The police stated that different operations have recently allowed arresting over 60 individuals and dismantling criminal gangs that tried to sell wireless devices in Shandong and Hebei provinces as well as in the port city of Tianjin.
Larger figures are expected in these events because authorities had intensified the campaign to fight against illegal production and distribution of similar devices from last Thursday to this Sunday, the lasting of applying the university entrance exams.
Each year Chinese officials of the Ministry of Education inspect all the logistics and educational centers to avoid leaks, guarantee maximum security and confidentiality.
The process includes the supervision of computerized systems and files, as well as the printing, transfer, storage and distribution of exams.
The call for attending gaokao attracted 10.3 million students, these tests can last up to nine hours and according to statistics, only three out of five students pass them.
