In schools belonging to the easternmost region of Camagüey, hygienic and sanitary measures are intensified in support of the Health sector and to reduce infestation rates of the Aedes Aegypti mosquito, transmitter of Dengue, Zika, Chikungunya and other diseases.
Through intensive sanitation sessions at all levels of education, actions aimed at preventing arbovirosis in educational establishments, and eliminating or reducing vector outbreaks are enhanced.
The students also visit the houses and evaluate with the families the local epidemiological situation, among other tasks prioritized in the community environment, while verifying the fumigation and the correct use of products to be added in water tanks.
In addition, the promotion and prevention activities included in the 22 programs and seven thematic axes are strengthened, and the increase of full-time doctors is guaranteed, mainly in the Boarding and Day care centers.
