The leading role of females in Guaimaro in the various tasks of the Revolution dignifies the behavior of the daughters of the land where Ana Betancourt de Mora proclaimed the emancipation of women.
Their presence is latent in different regions of the world in fulfilling internationalist missions, in addition to such important sectors as health and education, with their contribution to agriculture in the territory.
The Tobacco Benefiting center and the local textile confections workshops and industries in the territory step ahead as well thanks to the daily work of hundreds of women who also assume the role of mothers and wives and workers.
The Cuban Women´s Federation (FMC) in Guaimaro currently has more than 15 thousand members, grouped in 318 delegations, including 46 in rural areas.
