Guaimaro, Sept 2nd .- There is a stable epidemiological situation in the territory to date; however, it is necessary to step up preventive measures in order to avoid outbreaks of communicable diseases.
According to Leonardo Simon Isolito, deputy director of epidemiology in Guaimaro, no cases of cholera have been reported since September last year, and sales of sodium hypochlorite are currently guaranteed in all drugstores of the municipality in a bid to prevent the existence of conditions of this kind.
Moreover, the territory is in an alert zone regarding acute respiratory diseases, although it is worth pointing out that the numbers of diagnosed cases do not exceed those of previous years.
Health authorities in the demarcation urge residents to maximize hygienic measures and also promote the anti-mosquito campaign so as to prevent the spread of dengue and other communicable diseases.
