Camagüey, Mar 27. - The sowing of approximately 400 hectares of grasslands and protein plants is a priority for the groups of the units “La Luz“ and “El Delirio”, belonging to the Camagüey Cattle Company, entity dedicated fundamentally to the development of buffaloes in the province. Yadira Olivera, assistant manager of the entity, said that these two productive bases are also involved in the assembly of thermos for the cooling of milk, in order to preserve the quality of the food, and in the pig and bird breeding for self-consumption.
The administration explained that, after exceeding the half million liters of buffalo milk sold to the industry, the above-mentioned company seeks to increase this number by means of the rotational grazing, the sowing of protein plants and the diversification of the productions.
In the current year, the main challenges of the Camagüey Cattle Company workers include the elimination of the marabou of the areas, and the sale of about 400 tons of meat of buffalo to the tourism.(Radio Cadena Agramonte)
