The Commander of the Revolution Guillermo Garcia Frias recently visited this municipality in his capacity as Director of the National Group of Flora and Fauna, and besides exchanging with workers from the Base Business Unit San Francisco; he met with the top officials of the Cuban Communist Party (PCC) and the Government.
Damián Zamora Montero, the first Secretary in charge of the PCC in the territory, informed the party militants that Garcia Frias stated that Fidel always wanted to have bilateral relations with all countries, but the United States always recognized them as eternal political enemies for Cuba.
"Only the party, the government and the people united can make the Revolution last", stated the also Hero of the Republic of Cuba, who insisted with local administrative leaders and politicians in the necessity to work to the maximum to never return to the past of shame for the nation lived before 1959.
He also referred to the work of the leaders who are to solve the problems, not to accumulate them and not to sit idly by, and that the revolutionaries should take as a guide the ideas of José Martí and the undefeated Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz to maintain the work of the revolution.
