The main indicators of the economy in this municipality of Camagüey showed a favorable balance at the end of the year 2016 when 14 entities obtained overruns with emphasis on the companies of Commerce and Gastronomy, Dairy Processor Geonel Cordoví, Agropecuaria Rectángulo, and the Food and Small Local Industry Basic Business Units.
Net sales reported revenues of more than 198 million pesos, a result higher than planned during which amounts were entered into the state budget for more than 100 million 900 thousand pesos, most of which corresponded to the Commerce company.
On the other hand, the cargo transported by state-owned trucks exceeded 15.1 percent of the expected, although lower than the previous year by 5.2 tons.
The territory also complied and grew in lines such as the production and sale of meat and cow's milk, the last line with a production of 14 million liters selling more than 11 million through the Geonel Cordoví Industry located in the town of Martí , Just 12 kilometers from the local capital.
Other indicators of economic activity such as gross added value and the average wage labor productivity ratio were over-fulfilled, according to the analysis of the municipal global body of the Economy in this area, the easternmost province of Camagüey.
