The local population participated actively, this Sunday, in the activities developed in the Territorial Defense Day.
In order to strengthen the defensive capacity, the management and command bodies evaluated the effectiveness of the evacuation of the population towards protective works, the performance of the Production and Defense Brigades (BPD), the care of wounded by the members of the Red Cross and training in shooting areas.
Likewise, the Remigio Riverón primary school in the town was linked to defensive drills and the milk cooling thermo workers in the Agricultural Production Farm (CPA), with the same name, were incorporated into the exercise with the collection and delivery of milk, activity which is maintained in cases of war or any contingency.
In the easternmost municipality of Camagüey, the availability of means of transport for carrying water and the necessary logistics to face any aggression were also verified.
