The Monte Oscuro Popular camping site located 18 kilometers north of the municipal capital and three of the local town of Galbis obtained the first provincial place in ‘2019’.
According to José Luis Pérez Castellanos, provincial director of Campismo Popular, these results are possible to the unity, responsibility and dedication of the group that gives their work a hallmark of quality.
Dayamí Hernández Medina, director of the camping base, told the local press that the total revenue at 89 percent and the facility's profits at 91 percent were complied.
Despite the poor state of the recreational base access roads, poor telephone coverage and lack of transport, its group seeks alternatives to provide an excellent service to guests with the multiplication of a broad plan of activities aimed at promoting and the rescue of values, cultural and historical traditions of the demarcation, municipality and the Cuban nation.
Under the motto of doing more with less, the members of the recreational facility that meets next July 1st', 31 years of existence, are available to vacationers, 12 months of the year, with 27 cabins available, a dance floor, a natural pool, a games room, varied gastronomic offers and outdoor sports areas in direct contact with nature that provides them with tranquility and a happy stay.
