The local Energy Council calls for electricity saving, amid the increase in consumption caused by the permanence of people in homes due to the Covid-19.
In this sense, Eddy Abreu Victoria, coordinator of the task, emphasized the need for each family to consolidate energy savings as much as possible because generating electricity is equivalent to more use of imported fuel, and that resource must be taken care of for this and other services.
Today there is a slight saving in the state side thanks to the rigor of the visits made by the members of the Municipal Energy Council to each work center during the hours of the auto blackout.
The indiscipline and non-compliance are the major deficiencies of the territory in the residential area, there are still illegalities such as the manipulation and change of location of the meters by the client, construction of illegal electricity lines, the stripping of connections for the subtraction of the energy, clients that allow the installation of another client in their meter, among others.
Controlling the electrical fraud not only guarantees the compliance with the law, but also saves resources. In this sense, the Electric Union of the demarcation strengthens its work.
