The Federation of Cuban Women (FMC) is an active participant in the economic, political and social development in Guaimaro through the compliance with the guidelines issued by the highest authorities of the country.
In this 2020 its membership takes on many tasks entrusted by the Revolution, in the prevention of diseases such as Dengue and COVID-19, in the electricity savings and they also participate in productive labors to help in food production.
Women in Guaimaro play a leading role in the fostering of values in the new generations and in complex moments such as those experienced as a result of the pandemic, they have shown their ingenuity and creativity from their homes in view of the need for the strict compliance with the hygienic - sanitary measures.
Improving the work of the organization, through the House for the Orientation of Women and the Family (COMF) is among the main challenges of the organization, as well as eliminating any type of violence or manifestation of discrimination and raising the name of the women of this terroir, worthy heirs of the ideas of Ana Betancourt de Mora.
