The electricity generation capacity in the easternmost of the Camagüey territories, the billing and effects on the service in recent weeks and the importance of savings, are tasks prioritized by the Basic Electricity Organization (OBE) in Guaimaro.
Juan Carlos Carmenate García, an official who attends the energy sphere, emphasizes the importance of each family doing everything possible in the battle for saving and the rational use of this vital resource, because generating electricity is equivalent to more use of imported fuel.
The director of the electricity company in the municipality, Juan Luis Ramayo, highlights that the National Electroenergetic System promoted in Guáimaro responds to a strategy aimed at raising the standard of living of the population and accelerating the use of renewable energy sources, specifically the solar one.
Luis Ramayo refers that this important work was carried out jointly between the Electric Company, which owns the equipment, and Copextel, in charge of the installation, the contracting project for the work and the maintenance of the technology.
Today, among other actions, local electrical workers also carry out repairs on transformers and secondary networks, promoting greater system reliability, which will benefit the economic and residential sectors.
Juan Luis Ramayo, main representative of the OBE in Guaimaro insists on the responsibility in the consumption and the application of measures to reduce energy consumption in homes, ranging from carrying out activities outside of peak hours, up to the daily reading of the meter.
