In all these years of brutal imperialist punishment, the independent and sovereign Cuban homeland has repeatedly ratified the historical significance of the revolutionary process, beyond its shores.
The inhumane US measure to besiege the largest island of the Antilles persists, however, Cuba restlessly resists adding to the list of triumphs, more and more victories, more messages of peace, justice and freedom, more letters coming from all over the world expressing that the genocidal blockade of the United States against the nation, a commercial, economic and financial siege imposed since February 7, 1962, must cease.
The results achieved by the country in its expected appearance in the General Assembly, the main deliberative organ of the United Nations (UN), reveal the deference of many nations for the Cuban people, loved and respected, an example to follow, a land that on January 1st, 1959 achieved total independence, today a beacon and guide to so many revolutions, a country whose leaders dedicate themselves to the task of building a society as José Martí wished and dreamed of: "With everyone and for the good of all".
