Havana, Feb 17.- A group of executives and sales representatives of the British sports car manufacturer Aston Martin will exchange views and experiences with Cuban owners of classic cars in a meeting in this capital on Feb.20.
According to a note issued by the Cuban group Amigos de Fangio (Fangio's Friends), the meeting will be held on a side of the National Hotel, their usual meeting place.
A main requirement to be a member of this group is the possession of an old car preserved in their original condition.
Havana is like a rolling museum, with thousands of cars made in the 40s, 50s, and 60s up and kicking on the streets.
However, they are not mere traffic curiosity, but they are fully useful, moving tens of thousands of people everyday, including tourists, to work or other places.
The find of a vehicle made by Aston Martin is among curiosities in Havana. It was reported on the Road&Track magazine by journalist Jonathan Ward.
It was one of the only two model DB 2/4 cars ever made by Aston Martin.
Aston Martin, founded in 1913 under the name Bamford & Martin Ltd by Robert Bamford and pilot Lionel Martin, became internationally famous as the favorite model of James Bond in the endless film series of "agent 007."
