Yoel Michel la Rosa Suarez proudly bares his silver medal.Yoel Michel la Rosa Suarez, is a boy like everyone else, just that these days, the parchment that secures and confirms that 'In this house lives a champion' appears on the door right in his humble home, all this because he reached the silver medal on the National School Games (2016), right on the sport discipline of long jump.

Since 2008 Michel participates in these games, in which he has not only gained experience, but also the satisfaction of competing with athletes who like him face life without fear, to the point of knowing as equal as the runner who battles for tracks with the aim of climbing the podium and be recognized by the people.

He thanks from Coaches Sergio Caballero, Fernando Pascual and Zenaido Bolivar all their preparation, they have helped him in his career, which will now continue in the sports center 'Manuel Piti Fajardo' of Camagüey.

Yoel integrates the roster of the Association of Impaired People (ACLIFIM, in Spanish) in Guáimaro, he was born on January 8th, 2000, a very important date for his parents Yusdalis Súarez Zaldivar and Miguel Pérez la Rosa, who always remember the happy birth and that the anniversary is celebrated every year by the historic and unforgettable entrance of Fidel to Havana in the Caravan of Freedom in 1959.Yoel, his relatives and coach.

He is part of the small local community '8 de Marzo', located in the rural area La Ceiba, a place where the farmer wakes up with the roosters crowing, women strain out coffee before sunrise and children wait with pleasure the birth of a new day for these holiday months to enjoy much more the benefits of nature.

The athlete of this story is also an excellent runner, he is passionate about speed. He has participated in 200 and 400 meters competitions, also achieving medals, the proof that la Rosa Suarez can become in the future a champion of disabled sports in Cuba, a conqueror of the velodrome able to represent with honor in any quest, the flag colors and human and socialist ideas of his country, whose sporting tradition transcends time, and everything in the universe.

The vocation for sport in a young person can be a fascinating adventure, this human feeling accompanies Yoel who gradually grows, teenager who leaves behind his childhood years and begins to climb to the top of those who go up for dreams.
