We confirm to never be submissive to the empire

The impact sparked internationally didn´t last seconds, minutes, hours, even today, after three days since its publication, the meaning of the words of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution in the reflection entitled: 'Brother Obama', exceeds expectations and creates opinions.

Indeed, the expressions of Commander Fidel Castro Ruz show the feeling of a people that forgives but never forgets. The history of the island is prominent in the pages of books, in the comings and goings of people, in the actions of the sons of a nation blocked for more than five decades and submitted by the administrations of Washington to an unjust and inhumane embargo determined to stifle the model of society chosen since ' January 1st, 1959'.

Since that memorable day of victory survive the profound conviction and irrefutable proof that there is no fear and as Fidel said, ' Let nobody think that the people of this noble and selfless country will give up the glory and the rights, and the spiritual wealth that have gained with the development of science, education and culture '.

The new generation knows the details of each event, reviews the legends led by young people who in the past made decisions too serious for their age, without thinking of consequences, without even thinking of risking their lives to achieve definitive independence.

Workers, professionals, students, have learned to think in terms of Homeland and Humanity. They have understood the value of what was said by the Lord of the Vanguard, Camilo Cienfuegos Gorriarán: ' The support of this Cuban people to the Revolution that was made for this Cuban people is now and will always be as high as the invincible Turquino´s peak' .

The recent visit to Cuba of  US President Barack Obama showed the world the cultural level of a small region in area but huge in principles, ideas.  It demonstrated that neither violence nor force, nor the interventionist policy by US governments against Cuba for decades, have been able to break the strength of a nation proud of its heroism, selflessness and sacrifice.

The dead from mercenary attacks to ships and Cuban ports are remembered today , those killed in the horrific crime of Barbados, the brothers and friends victims of the terrorism financed from the outside, the unfair years of imprisonment suffered by René, Ramón, Gerardo, Fernando and Antonio, our five heroes symbols of courage, dignity and decorum.

We also remember the event of La Coubre, and its hundred dead and the unprecedented accusation committed by the US government, by including Cuba in the list of countries sponsoring terrorism, aberrant imputation in force until last year 2015.

Again and again, the attacks  showing the growth of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the entire machinery of interference and death of the American Empire are remembered.

Cuba forgives but never forgets. The people now stronger than ever reaffirm that the country that Washington has always dreamed of annexing to stands up sovereign, inspired by the expression of the Hero of Yaguajay, the Camilo of all, in his last speech on ' October 26, 1959 ' at the presidential palace, today the Museum of the Revolution:

'Because to stop this very Cuban revolution,  the entire people must die and if that were to happen, the verses of Bonifacio Byrne would be a reality:

Si desecha en menudos pedazos  llega a ser mi bandera algún día, nuestros muertos, alzando los brazos, la sabrán defender todavía’.
