A special Sunday passed, yes, a day where mothers and grandmothers received the tender embrace, the indelible phrase, multiplied love. Everybody as a family gave the best of themselves to those beings who so much delight and passionate inspire.
Fortunately in life, in Cuba, mothers, children, friends, in short, people, sighs air of freedom, and independence translated into real passion in willingness to make for the good personal and collective, in the desire to continue transforming dreams in reality however difficult it may seem.
In the consolidation of challenges, goals and commitments, all family members are essential, but an essential something stands, human values, those that are built from the cradle to end up being an indestructible pyramid lends forever to validate the core ideal of Marti: "the child, since he can think, should think about everything he sees, he must suffer for all those who cannot honestly live, he should work for all man to be honored, and must be an honest man."
Perceiving happiness of the children entertaining their mothers, observe those who melancholy came to the cemetery to give to their mothers the bouquet of white roses, feel firsthand the unspeakable pride of being a mom, it made me think again and again in the important role of the family in the upbringing of children.
Because among them spontaneous displays of affection prevail, mutual trust, affection and respect, because they know each other accomplices, all them parents, children, grandmothers and grandfathers, aunts, nephews, in short, the family is educated based on sacrifice, sympathy and enthusiasm.
It is worthy then to finish this brief comment with a passage from the history of the Cuban nation that can never be forgotten. Here I offer it, sure I am many of the Internet users who ready themselves to read this journalistic work will draw in their mind, the figure of a Cuban mother that from October 12th, 1868 encouraged all the members of her family to join the liberating troops and followed them in the bush, in the event of war regardless of their age and gender. She is Mariana Grajales Coello, a warrior who knew with secure voice and courageous attitude withstand the pain of losing her children in the struggle for emancipation.
From her 13 children only two survived the enemy military offensives: Jose Tomas and Maria Dominga. José Martí himself, when appreciated the parents of Antonio Maceo and their influence on him, claimed that: "... the son is coming more from the mother rather than the father, and it is a great misfortune to owe the body to lazy or null people, whom cannot owe the soul; but Maceo was happy, because he came from lion and lioness.
