Based on comprehensive and consistent work in the exemplary indicators of the Central Workers' Union of Cuba (CTC), the province of Ciego de Ávila was granted the hosting of the central activities for the 87th Anniversary of the organization.
The Organizing Committee of the 22nd Congress of the CTC also agreed that the provinces of Matanzas and Sancti Spíritus be recognized for their work during the period, as well as acknowledged the results of the province of Guantánamo.
The decision took into account the opinion of all national unions and the different spheres of work, as well as the very favorable political environment surrounding the organization's efforts, with productive movements at the grassroots level that have been sustained over time.
Among the most outstanding aspects of the CTC in Ciego de Ávila are the results that are gradually being shown in cadre policy, the completion and strengthening of grassroots structures, the growth of work on social networks, the affiliation of the non-state sector, as well as in the indicators of operation and contribution to the organization.
Other elements taken into account to grant it the place of honor on this occasion were the support of the labor movement in all social, economic, and productive tasks that earned the province the national headquarters of the July 26 celebration last year; and the extensive communication contribution made from worker collectives to political campaigns such as Latir Avileño, widely recognized among the people.
The central activities will be celebrated with productive campaigns, as will be the case throughout the country; meanwhile, the Organizing Committee of the 22nd Congress congratulates all workers in the country on the upcoming anniversary on January 28, aware that all recognized provinces face challenges to overcome and that the country expects greater contribution and participation from all its workers.
