Cuba contemplates a resizing of public management

Havana, May 12.- The draft Law on the Organization of the Central State Administration proposes the resizing of public management envisioned in the 2026 government program, Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero reported today. The project, which will be presented to the National Assembly of People's Power next July, strengthens work on public policies.

"A country like ours cannot have such a bureaucratic structure. The 27 existing bodies of the Central State Administration will be reduced to 21, and we will not renounce further studying the matter," Marrero noted on the social network X.

He stated that this is an opportunity to reorder and better utilize existing human resources and the capacity of officials.

"It is undoubtedly a very complex but necessary process," he concluded.
