Cuban duo Buena Fe will offer a concert in Nicaragua

Managua, Dec. - The Cuban duo Buena Fe, composed of Israel Rojas and Yoel Martínez, will perform at the Rubén Darío National Theater in Nicaragua on the upcoming January 9, the group confirmed this Tuesday.

In a live message broadcast from Venezuela on the social network Facebook, Rojas expressed his joy at being able to return to Nicaragua after more than 10 years without singing in this Central American country.

“It is wonderful to be able to return and also be in such a beautiful theater. Yoel and I will be there along with an artist we admire and respect greatly, Alejandro Trigo, who will be touring with us and will play the guitar and the tres.

I hope to have a great time at this concert, where we will be singing songs from our old guard, songs by Vicente (Feliú), from our more recent productions, and Cuban trova,” the artist explained.

According to the schedule of musical performances, on January 8 they will offer a concert in Costa Rica at La Cantina de Sabina; on Wednesday the 14th they will be in Guatemala, and on the 16th in El Salvador.

Buena Fe is a musical duo from the province of Guantánamo, in eastern Cuba, in which Rojas, besides being the vocalist and leader, is the composer of the songs, and Martínez is the guitarist and backing vocalist.

According to critics, their infectious rhythm and originality place them as the most important Cuban duo of their generation, with several albums featuring songs such as “Papel en blanco,” “No juegues con mi soledad,” “Volar sin ti,” and “Era mi aire,” among many others.

The duo came to break the stereotypes of the musical landscape with influences from trova and a mix of rhythms such as rock, pop, guaracha, reggae, and flamenco. In 2001 they recorded their debut album titled “Déjame Entrar.” Since then, they have adopted a band format.
