Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba closes 2025 dancing with everyone.

Havana, Dec. 14 - Children and young people are the main protagonists today in the new season of Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba (LADC), the artistic company that in 2025 performed for the first time in Thailand and Bulgaria.

The year-end show, held at the National Theatre, celebrates the successes during this period of the school and company, which in 2026 will celebrate its 35th anniversary, proud to have performed on five continents and to be the only group in the country to have danced at a Latin Grammy ceremony.

The gala titled 1, 2, 3… everyone on stage! showcases the appeal of the Fusion style, cultivated by this entity with elegance and combining elements of flamenco, ballet, contemporary dance, folklore, and various Cuban, Afro-Cuban, and urban popular dances.

At the same time, the show highlights the importance of aligning rigor, discipline, and enjoyment, from beginner levels to professional.

Those who have not been able to attend are still in time, as the second performance will take place this Sunday at 5:00 p.m. local time, in the Avellaneda hall.

The prestigious professional ensemble, members of the Vocational Workshops, and the Children’s and Youth Ballet share the stage with the goal of showcasing the progression of the students up to the highest level within the institution.

The director, teacher, and choreographer Lizt Alfonso has been recognized as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). Joy and organization prevail in the event, despite combining girls and boys of different ages, many of whom are not accustomed to professional rigor.

The inspiring effect of working alongside the older dancers adds brilliance since the younger ones can appreciate the passion and artistic excellence achieved with years of dedication.

Intergenerational coexistence in art awakens admiration, generates motivation, encourages self-improvement, and instills confidence in learners that one day they can occupy a similar place if they work hard.

In this way, the stage becomes a space for transmitting values and inspiration, where children not only learn to dance but also to believe in themselves and in the transformative power of dance.

The already traditional year-end event is both a triumph and an excuse to bring families together in peace and harmony.
