Guáimaro, December 28 - For the second consecutive year, the website of the broadcaster CMHN Radio Guáimaro has received the OX Award, an international honor granted by the eponymous editorial to outstanding websites in the Spanish language.
The recognition was announced this Friday, December 26, via email, following the formal nomination by the media outlet to be evaluated based on the requirements to qualify for this honorary award, developed over more than 20 years and known as the 15 Global Web Excellence Criteria.
The OX evaluation considers general technical aspects such as relevant and useful content; website design and usability; clear navigation; logical and attractive structure; multimedia and hypermedia elements; use of audio, video, links, and other resources that enrich the experience; search engine optimization (SEO); accessibility and presentation; and that the site is easy to access from various devices.
In the specific category of News, Press, Radio, TV, which includes the virtual space of the Guáimaro station, the assessment also measures original, well-written information that contributes value to the user; updated news, research, and editorial rigor; as well as journalistic and informative quality.
According to its announcement on the web, Editorial OX is independent of any public or private institution, national or international, and of any political, economic, social, or religious ideology. Its mission is to contribute to the prestige and development of excellent Spanish-language web content promoted by Spanish-speaking countries, through the OX Awards, courses, conferences, and books.
To date, a total of 14 websites of Cuban institutions have also earned the distinction corresponding to 2026, including three other communication entities from the Agramont province: those of Camagüey Television, Radio Cadena Agramonte, and Radio Nuevitas.
