Hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets this Saturday to protest Donald Trump's policies. According to organizers, more than 2,500 demonstrations were planned across the country, from large cities to small towns. The demonstrations were organized by the No Kings coalition, which brings together pro-democracy groups in the country.

The protesters protested tightening immigration laws, the deployment of law enforcement and the military to combat crime in cities, the Trump administration's support for Israel, and other presidential decisions.
The largest gatherings were in Times Square in New York, Boston Commons in Boston, Grant Park in Chicago, and Washington, D.C. The protests took place amid the three-week government shutdown and reflect the divisions within American society.

This is the third mass mobilization since Trump's return to the White House. The last demonstrations were organized in June, on the same day as the military parade commemorating the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army, which also coincided with the current president's 79th birthday.
