Havana, Nov 7 - The Manuel Galich Room at Casa de las Américas in this capital will host a conversation today in which several intellectuals will reflect on Fidel Castro's contributions to Cuban ethics and spirituality.
In exclusive statements to Prensa Latina, the president of the Havana institution, Abel Prieto, explained that this is an idea promoted by Dr. Enrique Alemán, coordinator of the Interreligious Dialogue Platform of Cuba, as it is part of the activities for the centenary of the Commander in Chief.
"We want to promote a debate about the particular spirituality that characterized Fidel and his upright ethical and solidarity sense, at a time when lies, cynicism, selfish competitiveness, racism, and imperial arrogance prevail in the world," he added.
The desire, he expressed, is to always return to the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution "as a paradigm of essential values that go beyond the strictly political."
The gathering, which will include these and other intellectuals, serves as a tribute from both entities to someone who remains eternal through his words and deeds; in every Cuban who recognizes his political, moral, and human stature.
