November 2025.- A few days ago, the poet and teacher from Guáimaro, Roberto Machado Isaguirre, celebrated a new birthday, an event that turned into a reason for sincere joy and deep affection for his friends and colleagues at the Luz Palomares García cultural center, the collective at the House of Writers, and the members of the municipal literary workshop Pablo de la Torriente Brau, along with many other lovers of poetry, art, and culture.
Recognized as one of the most established authors of the Guáimaro literary movement, Machado Isaguirre has given his readers not only the bright pages of his children's books—Cuentos del Monte (Ácana, 2001), El Patio de la Fantasía (Ácana, 2007), and Convocatorias Soñadas (Ácana, 2010)—but also the richness of countless moments of shared knowledge, pleasant and enriching conversations, and the generous embrace of one who knows he is a son of a land fertile in elevated souls.
His life and work are a testament to the fact that literature, when it springs from the heart and is delivered with humility, becomes a seed of hope, a bridge of affections, and a legacy that transcends generations.
