A profession: song and light for life

A profession: song and light for life

May, 2026.- The nurses of Guáimaro wake up every day with the certainty that their work is not just a profession, but a destiny.

Amidst silent hallways and wards where life hangs in the balance, they uphold the Martinian maxim: "There is no greater difficulty than that which sufficient love cannot conquer."

As they do every day, this May 12th, the workday begins early, with firm steps and willing hearts. A hand adjusts a pillow, a smile breaks the routine of pain, and words restore confidence.

No matter how simple the gestures of these nurses may seem, they hold the power to transform, because in every action, however small it may appear, that dose of love is revealed—a love that does not tire, persists, and chooses to overcome, always to overcome.

International Nurses Day is a mirror reflecting the greatness of those who, in white coats and with immense souls, sustain the hope of a people.

They are the guardians of life, sowers of comfort, and artisans of tenderness.

This Tuesday, in Guáimaro, may their dedication multiply and forever transform into song and light.

Congratulations!
