Guáimaro, April 26 — With the presence of the 60 delegates of the Municipal Assembly of People's Power in Guáimaro, this Saturday the XXVIII ordinary session of that body, corresponding to the XVIII mandate period, addressed the implementation of government actions and objectives in the first quarter of the year.![]()
After reviewing the agreements, the people's representatives exchanged views on the movement "My Neighborhood for the Homeland," an initiative that throughout the country promotes the participation of neighbors in productive tasks, prevention, defense, and confrontation against crime and illegalities, for the collective transformation of the community.

In this regard, Francisco Hernández Zamora, delegate from constituency No.1 of the Guáimaro Sur popular council, highlighted the strengthening of reference backyards and planting in plots, which favors the supply of agricultural products at more affordable prices.

For its part, the permanent commission of Economic Affairs, in its report on the behavior of the economy plan during the first quarter of the current year, highlighted violations in electronic commerce as part of the banking process taking place in the country.
Another negative issue is evidenced in the non-execution of the budget in the transforming neighborhoods, so the strategies in the second quarter must reverse the non-compliance.

Later, the report on the behavior of crime, social indiscipline, corruption, and illegalities, pointed out that criminal activities against livestock are those with the highest incidence in the locality, with 317 such incidents.
Among the main causes are those related to the lack of belonging of those affected, as well as the deficient supervision and oversight by those responsible and the agricultural system.

The analysis of indisciplines such as the dumping of solid waste and collection by the Base Business Unit of Communal Services; as well as illicit sales in areas of the municipal terminal, warned about the need to increase the fight among everyone.
The permanent Services commission reported on the approval of 14 new local development projects that have generated a total of 87 new jobs and have allowed the incorporation to work, with all guarantees, of 23 young people, 15 women, and five retired people.
In this regard, the deputy to the National Assembly of People's Power Laura Marian Bacallao Padrón emphasized the necessary evaluation of the conception, functioning, results, and financial sustainability of the projects, with a view to the Municipal Development Strategy.

The Guáimaro delegates also debated the results of the Integrated Community Work, a priority for the improvement of the Local Bodies of People's Power that are advancing toward their 50th anniversary.
For this, according to what they stated, the leadership of the Assembly must continue working on the improvement of diagnostics and action plans in each constituency of the territory.

In his closing remarks, Alexander Massagué Álvarez, first secretary of the Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), urged the delegates, from their positions, to control the administrations more and achieve movements in the neighborhoods that allow a true revolutionary transformation.
Likewise, the leader called on the delegates and the people in general to participate in the parade for May 1st, International Workers' Day, with creative initiatives and the colorfulness that characterizes each march of the fighting people.
