Apr, 2026.- My inspiration is dedicated to the cultural manifestation that turns the body into language and emotion into movement.

There is no mistake, today April 29, 2026 the stage sparkles because dance is celebrating. The calendar marks its international day.

This Wednesday I feel like recognizing those who make it the most important of motivations.

The 24 hours of the day will not be enough to offer the most sincere embrace of gratitude to those who, with discipline and sensitivity, make each choreography a song to life.

Beautiful is the tribute that, however simple it may seem, manages to intertwine names that mark a footprint on the Cuban scene and especially on that of Guáimaro.

Standing out in the vanguard roster, Soraida Hernández, creator of choreographic universes where technique fuses with passion. To her is added Liria Castañeda, an instructor currently residing in the province of Ciego de Ávila, a teacher who guided generations with rigor and tenderness in her unforgettable Guáimaro.

The list also includes Carlos Hernández, a professor who knows very well how to transform teaching into living art.

What to say about the young people, alongside the more experienced ones, the new sap ensures continuity, it is worth mentioning, for example, Randol Machado Hernández, a multifaceted maker, representative instructor of the José Martí Brigade, who brings freshness and energy to the dance tradition.

Each one, from their space, corroborates the enchanting value of dance as an act of cultural resistance, and a magical way of telling stories without words.

Today, when the world pays tribute to this discipline, the most eastern of the Camagüeyan territories joins with pride, distinguishing those who have delivered their talent so that the art of movement conquers hearts.

If I had to summarize dance in one expression, I would not hesitate to affirm that it is felt and perceived as a shared feeling and energy that expands, its force and beauty is so great that it transcends borders.

Dance is spectacle, identity, memory, life.
