Camagüey won the national title of host for Rural Women's Day, which is commemorated every year on October 15.
Regla Grisel Frómeta, president of the National Association of Small Farmers (ANAP) in the territory, said this was possible thanks to the results achieved on several fronts.
She mentioned the growth of women members in the organization, the work of the joint brigades of the Federation of Cuban Women and ANAP, and their placement in leadership positions, among other achievements.
She specified that the meeting will take place in the main municipality, specifically in the community of the Jesús Suárez Gayol Agricultural Production Cooperative.
At the provincial event for Rural Women's Day in Camagüey, outstanding cooperatives and farmers will be declared the ANAP Center's 65th Anniversary.
