Camagüey, January 24th – Due to efficiency and productivity in managing economic and union indicators, the Basic Business Unit Empacadora "Raúl Cepero Bonilla" hosted the provincial venue for the event honoring Food Industry Workers’ Day to be celebrated on January 25th.
The team, recognized as a National Vanguard by the Central Workers’ Union of Cuba, has a trained and committed staff who work extended hours with the purpose of fulfilling deliveries, primarily for social consumption and other assignments.
This was explained by Milene Rodríguez Suarez, who referred to the discipline and dedication of the men and women in the industry and the results of the last period, including recognition from the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Environment.
She also highlighted the social work and production linkages, giving special mention to outstanding workers such as the young Daniel Salazar Rivera, Leonardo Enrique García Montano from the maintenance area, and Enelina Basulto González, who has dedicated more than four decades to the unit.
At the event, the Beverages and Soft Drinks collective of Camagüey received the distinction of Integral Company of the sector in the province due to the quality of its products, among which stand out Puerto Príncipe rum and Élite vinegar.
Silver Ramírez Pérez, General Secretary of the Provincial Union of Food Industry and Fishing Workers, praised the unity of the members and their commitment to continue contributing to food production in the Year of the Centenary of the birth of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro.
