Florida, Dec. 14 - The proven commitment of the workers at Radio Florida Station to this media outlet and its social role of informing, accompanying, and educating the people was reaffirmed during the recent annual Balance Assembly, where the results of this work period were evaluated, marked by the profound crisis the country is facing.
Professional improvement in all specialties, deepening the monitoring of news with the greatest social impact, and achieving a greater presence on social networks by the station's workers were some of the topics discussed by the broadcasters, who were accompanied by Liliana Boudet Nápoles, first secretary of the Party in Florida, and other local authorities.
Meanwhile, the broadcasters from Florida criticized the existence of outdated regulations and resolutions that prevent earning better salaries within the station itself and once again pointed out the deteriorated structural condition of the building, while also calling for the cooperation of institutional directors who today are unwilling to provide accurate and timely information to the people.
Arcilio Rainel Peláez Conde, Program Director, referred to the importance of radio in educating the population through the dissemination of political topics and ideologies aligned with the Communist Party and the Cuban Government.
The assembly concluded with recognition given to the most outstanding workers of the year, including Enrique García, Fernando Montero, Pedro Pablo Sáez, and Flora Horta.
