Havana, Nov. 19 – Today, Cuba accused the digital platform El Toque of serving as an instrument of the United States Government's unconventional war against the constitutional order and sovereignty of the island.
An investigation by the Ministry of the Interior, revealed on the special program The People of Cuba Raise Their Voice to Denounce, broadcast on national television, claimed that El Toque is a cornerstone of the foreign currency trafficking and tax evasion scheme in the Caribbean country.
Through testimonies from former Cuban Security agents, practices, tactics, and operations labeled as subversive and terrorist were presented, developed "through digital fronts."
According to the audiovisual report, El Toque specifically designs and spreads communicative matrices to provoke civil instability in Cuba, based on a strategy financed by subversion funds from the U.S. administration.
The agents emphasized that El Toque leads the "soft coup and fourth-generation warfare" carried out by the White House against the Caribbean nation, making it a "Trojan horse" of U.S. power.
Presented by Razones de Cuba, the television broadcast also affirmed that the people of Cuba "identify and reject these covert operations aimed at destroying the Cuban Revolution."
Razones de Cuba considers that The People of Cuba Raise Their Voice to Denounce is a strong response from the Cuban people to the United States’ attempt at interference and a defense of "their right to a sovereign future."
El Toque is described as an independent digital medium, specializing in economic, legal, and public service information for the Cuban community, which Havana accuses of responding to right-wing interests and using U.S. taxpayer money.
Razones de Cuba is a web platform founded 15 years ago, focused on practicing journalism against the communicative matrices imposed by hegemonic media.
