Announcing in Cuba the 50×40 Graphic Contest

Havana, Dec. - Cuban designers, visual artists, and creators are invited to participate in the 50x40 Graphic Campaign Contest, a call from the Asociación Hermanos Saíz (AHS) to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Political Song.

The campaign should visually summarize the legacy of the Cuban singer-songwriter tradition, its connection to social struggles, the defense of justice, human rights, and its projection to the world as sound trenches of dignity, the organization explained on its social media.

The winner will design the poster and promotional spot for the AHS's oldest event, which this year focuses on the 80th anniversaries of the birth of singer-songwriters Noel Nicola and Silvio Rodríguez, as well as the 25th anniversary of the release of the first album by the duo Buena Fe, Déjame entrar.

Participants can also address thematic lines such as The Trova as an Expression of Cultural Resistance; Art, Youth, and Truth; Tradition and Contemporaneity.

Details regarding format and duration requirements are available on the AHS's social media, which specified that both pieces must include mention of the 50th edition of the Political Song Festival, Guantánamo 2025, and the association’s logo.

Additionally, the logos of the Provincial Directorate of Culture, the Provincial Music Center, the Council of Performing Arts, and the Council of Visual Arts must be included.

Proposals will be accepted digitally until April 4, 2026, and the winning work will receive public recognition, prizes, and an invitation to the festival from August 1 to 4, 2026.
