Pink Floyd musician rejects U.S. aggression against Venezuela

London, January 4th – The renowned British musician and composer Roger Waters expressed his rejection this Saturday of the US military aggression against Venezuela and the kidnapping of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores.

“We are truly distraught by the savage act of aggression by the United States empire against our brothers, sisters, and comrades in Venezuela, that great and wonderful expression of the Bolivarian Revolution,” said the acclaimed artist in a video message on the social network X.

“I am not a man of prayer, but I am an active man and will do everything in my power to support Venezuela, which is a sovereign country and should be left alone by the northern gringo policeman,” stated the founder of the legendary band Pink Floyd.

Waters said, “For God’s sake, Venezuela is a sovereign nation. Hands off Venezuela!” Later, he referred to the international solidarity expressed against the imperial policy of the United States and its president Donald Trump.

“We are with you (…) around the world, only God knows the percentage, but probably 99 percent of all people worldwide, we are saying that we deplore the actions” of the United States in the Caribbean, he emphasized.
