The "Major General Salomé Hernández" Grandfather's House in Guáimaro hosted a celebration for International Day of Older Persons on Wednesday morning, featuring a range of activities that brought joy to this age group.
On the occasion of the celebration, workers from the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education, and Recreation (INDER) held discussions and presented topics of interest with the participation of representatives from other senior circles.
Meanwhile, instructors from the "Luz Palomares García" House of Culture provided music, magic, and recitations that made the space an unforgettable morning.
In 1999, the United Nations (UN) established October 1st as a day to advocate for the rights of older persons and to dignify this population sector.
