Guáimaro, January 9 - The upcoming Saturday, January 10, will mark National Defense Day in Guáimaro, with the participation of the entire population.
The activities are part of the Strategic Territorial Defensive Conception of the War of the Entire People, aimed at consolidating the military invulnerability of the nation.
During the day, each combatant will receive the necessary training to perform a specific role in case of aggression.
The actions will be directed towards the preparation of the Leadership and Command Bodies, reserve combatants, Territorial Troop Militias, Special Formations, Production and Defense Brigade, students, and the general population.
Territorial Defense Exercises will take place in defense zones, involving different elements and structures of the defense system, under the guidance of the Defense Councils and Working Groups.
Authorities also reported that between 6:00 and 11:00 in the morning, detonations, sirens, and other sound signals will be heard as part of the planned preparation. These alerts will be broadcast through warning systems, mass media, and local amplification.
National Defense Day also constitutes an expression of political unity and commitment to the Revolution, in fulfillment of the postulate of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz: "As long as there is a revolutionary, a patriot, a man or a woman, the struggle will not have ended and victory will be possible."
