Guaimaro vibrates with art and memory on the eve of Cuban Culture Day.

Guaimaro, an emblematic site of Cuban history, also treasures a profound Cuban identity that is intensely expressed these days through art.

The creative flow of the city celebrates the start of Cuban Culture Day, which runs from October 10th to 20th across the country. This is evident in the Street Embassy of the Luz Palomares Garcia Cultural Center's presentations at various institutions, organizations, neighborhoods, and communities.

On Thursday morning, members of this unique artistic group arrived at the Guaimaro Assembly Unified Adult Center (CUA) with backpacks full of poetry and guitars to offer students and teachers joy, poetry, and troubadour music.

As part of the celebration, a meeting on history was held, sponsored by representatives from the National Union of Cuban Historians (UNHIC) and the Writer's House.

They also highlighted the career and influence on the popular imagination of Roberto Fabelo Medina, one of the great creators from the Cradle of the Constitution who has left his mark on contemporary Cuban visual arts.
