Caracas, November 16.- Venezuela received 135,000 vaccine doses from India as part of the cooperation between the two countries, reported today the sectoral vice president of Science, Technology, Education, and Health, Gabriela Jiménez.
Jiménez, along with the Venezuelan Deputy Minister for Hospitals, Jesús Osteicoechea, and the Indian ambassador accredited in Caracas, PK Ashok Babu, arrived at the Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, La Guaira state (north).

The official indicated on her Telegram account that the delivery included doses of pentavalent vaccines, MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella), pneumococcal vaccines, and rotavirus vaccines, which will strengthen "our National Immunization Plan, ensuring the health of Venezuelan children."
The head of the Ministry of Science and Technology thanked the Government and people of India for "their valuable cooperation" and emphasized that this effort is part of a strategic alliance that reinforces the development of key areas such as health and education.
She commented that with the "leadership of President @NicolasMaduroMoros, we are building a future of hope through a policy of peace and not war, forging solidarity relations with brother countries."
