British cyclist Hall won first Grand Prix in El Salvador

San Salvador, January 24 - British cyclist Francesca Hall, from the Roland Cogeas Cycling team, won today the Grand Prix San Salvador 2026, held on a demanding 74.9 km route between San Marcos and La Puerta del Diablo.

The winner recorded a time of 2 hours and 53 minutes in the competition, which featured a challenging final climb, marking the start of the cycling calendar for that year in El Salvador, with 95 world-class elite athletes participating.

The 30-year-old British rider pedaled hard on a mountainous route that included a climb of more than 20 kilometers with an average gradient of 7.1 percent, according to details from the organizing committee.

The next competition on Salvadoran territory will be tomorrow, Sunday, with the Grand Prix El Salvador, another one-day race of 76 kilometers, which will take place in the Santa Elena district of this capital.
