Addis Abeba, April 29.- The president of Mozambique, Daniel Francisco Chapo, today praised the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute (EAII) and described it as a source of hope for Africa's digital future.
Chapo, who has been in Addis Abeba since last Monday on an official visit, received information during the tour about the work carried out in artificial intelligence (AI) research and development.
He stated that AI will play a fundamental role in shaping the future global landscape, and emphasized that countries must drive its development with a constant approach and strategic commitment.
The Mozambican leader praised the young professionals at the EAII, highlighting that their creativity and technical skills represent an important contribution to Africa's overall development.
Similarly, he described the work of the Ethiopian center as a reflection of continental potential and a source of inspiration.
He emphasized that greater cooperation between African countries, along with closer collaboration and the exchange of experiences, remains essential to accelerate growth and promote shared prosperity.
During his visit, Chapo and the high-level delegation accompanying him also toured various federal government institutions and held talks with relevant officials on how to deepen exchange in multiple sectors.
He also participated last Monday in the signing of memoranda of understanding alongside Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed after holding official talks.
