Camagüey, Aug 18.- As part of the activities commemorating the 10th anniversary of the branch of the Union of IT Professionals of Cuba (UIC) and the centenary of the birth of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, a technical table was established within the framework of the Innovation and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Node shared by the University of Camagüey Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz and the organization in the province.
The purpose—specified Reynaldo Alonso Reyes, president of the UIC in Camagüey—is to contribute to driving the recently approved economic and social transformations, particularly those related to the adoption of AI in public administration, as well as turning data into an important wealth alongside other assets.
Similarly, the intention, he clarified, is to co-create a roadmap that favors the implementation of the Government's Economic and Social Program for 2026
In the future, he commented, actions will be carried out in the form of communities of practice, while working on finding an articulation of the results currently exhibited by the Agramontina institution of higher learning with its company UCETID S.A., so that the UIC's Co-Lab Local Development Project can carry out innovation with the participation of citizens and experts, and at the same time strengthen alliances with entities producing digital solutions.
Leaders and participants of the science and technological innovation project "Intelligent Digital Transformation in Camagüey," whose executing entity is the University of Camagüey, provided valuable criteria in a space that also included representatives from the Provincial Directorate of the Young Computer and Electronics Clubs, the educational sector, the Collaborative Community Local Development Project, and Advisors, among other guests.
