Havana, Aug 20.- The Ministry of Education of the Republic of Cuba informed that the 2026-2027 school year will begin on September 1st, as established by the official calendar.
Through its official social media profiles, the organization ratified the scheduled date for the start of the new academic period and emphasized the importance of ensuring student attendance from the first day, which is fundamental for the proper development of the course.
Likewise, it reaffirmed that education constitutes a right and a responsibility for everyone.
As part of the preparations, this Thursday, August 20, the Minister of Education, Naima Trujillo Barreto, will begin a tour across the country to inspect the conditions created in educational centers in view of the start of the school year.
During the visit, the main assurances and the conditions of the educational institutions will be evaluated to guarantee the start of the academic period.
