Polar mass threatens Spain after three storms

Madrid, January 30th.- Amid snow, powerful gusts of wind, and rain, Spain leaves behind three successive storms today to face the arrival of a maritime polar air mass from the north.

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) announced that although snowfall will persist in parts of the national territory, it will be less intense and concentrated in areas of the northern half, with altitudes between 800 and 1000 meters by the end of this Friday.

However, after Ingrid, Joseph, and Kristin, the names of the three storms that dominated the weather in Spain over the last eight days, the polar air mass will arrive bringing abundant widespread precipitation across the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands, along with some strong wind gusts.

The weather will be unstable with a tendency for a slight increase until Saturday, then dropping again, also accompanied by rain.

Galicia will be at the center of the polar air mass, which will also bring hail and storms mainly in the northern area.
